With 25 years of cycling experience, I’ve learned what it takes to succeed and have fun. I’ll share that knowledge and help you develop the complete set of tools you need to reach your goals.

Whether you are a beginner or an experienced pro, junior or master, I’ll work side-by-side with you to develop a training plan that matches your lifestyle, schedule, and riding interests. My coaching focuses on cyclocross and mountain biking, but applies equally well to other cycling pursuits. And I love introducing new riders to cyclocross and mountain bike racing.

There’s more to bike racing than physical training. In fact, success requires six essential ingredients. I work with each athlete to develop all six ingredients, and we’ll have fun doing it. I call it the six pack:

1) Fitness   2) Bike Handling   3) Technique
4) Dialed Equipment  5) Fun and Adventure   6) Race Craft (putting it all together)

My coaching style goes much deeper than just writing training plans and scheduling interval workouts. After all, cyclocross and mountain bike races often hinge upon bike handling, skills, sand pits, run ups,  and equipment savvy. I like to work in-depth with each athlete to overcome the full spectrum of racing challenges. This means frequent communication, customized work-outs, and constant individual attention.

Coaching Plans

I offer coaching for both Boulder/Denver area athletes and non-local athletes. Regardless of your level, I’ll work with you to set goals and track your progress, identify and improve your strengths and weaknesses, and share the knowledge I’ve gained thru two decades of riding and racing. I strive to craft training plans that match your personality and lifestyle. Don’t be intimidated, you don’t need to be an expert racer to benefit greatly from working with a coach! You are not required to use a power meter, but that option is available. Contact me to discuss what is right for you!
